Terms of Service

These Terms form an agreement between you and for use of the Detectio website, account portal, support service, and mobile application (the “Service”). By using the Service or starting a trial, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

1. What Detectio provides

Detectio provides informational tools that can organize devices visible on a network you are authorized to use, guide optical checks, display readings from supported phone sensors, measure basic connection characteristics, and save eligible session history.

Detectio is not a professional inspection, emergency, law-enforcement, or security service. Results depend on device hardware, permissions, network configuration, physical conditions, and user technique. The Service does not guarantee that it will identify every device, risk, or source of a signal.

2. Authorized and responsible use

You may use the Service only on devices, networks, and spaces that you own or are authorized to review. You must comply with privacy, computer-access, recording, property, and other applicable laws.

You must not use Detectio to access accounts or networks without permission, monitor people unlawfully, interfere with devices, bypass security controls, harass others, or make unsupported allegations based on an app result.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for providing accurate information, protecting your credentials, and notifying us about suspected unauthorized access. Backengine may act as the identity authority while the website maintains the information necessary for session and billing management.

4. Free and MAX plans

The Free plan includes a limited feature set. Detectio MAX provides the features presented on the plans page, subject to compatible hardware, reasonable technical limits, and future product updates.

A website trial is free for the period displayed before checkout. Unless you cancel before it ends, the trial becomes a recurring paid subscription at the exact price, currency, and interval shown before you confirm. Taxes may apply. There is no separate charge for starting the free trial.

5. Renewal, cancellation, and refunds

Website subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel from your website account, through a supported in-app option, or by contacting support@detectioapp.com. See the Cancellation Policy for timing and channel-specific instructions.

Cancellation stops future renewals and normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Refund eligibility depends on applicable law, the purchase channel, and the circumstances. App Store purchases are administered under Apple’s applicable rules.

6. Payments and access

Payment details are handled by the payment provider. We may receive status and transaction information needed to activate access, prevent duplicate trials, resolve failed payments, handle disputes, and maintain records. We may suspend MAX access when a payment fails, a subscription ends, or use violates these Terms.

7. Availability and changes

We may improve, replace, limit, or discontinue features. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or compatibility with every device, router, operating-system version, or environment. Material subscription changes will be communicated as required by law.

8. Third-party services

The Service may rely on app stores, payment providers, hosting, email, account infrastructure, analytics, and network services. Those services are governed by their own terms and may experience interruptions outside our control.

9. Intellectual property

Detectio, its design, software, content, and branding are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, scrape, circumvent access controls, or use the Service to build a competing product except where law expressly permits.

10. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties not expressly stated here. You remain responsible for decisions, communications, and actions taken after reviewing a result.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss arising from unauthorized use of a network, incorrect interpretation, device incompatibility, third-party services, or service interruption. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Changes, governing law, and contact

We may update these Terms when the Service or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version. These Terms are governed by , subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
