This policy explains how Detectio (“we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information when you use the website, account portal, support service, and Detectio mobile application (together, the “Service”).
1. Information you choose to provide
- Account details: name, email address, authentication information, and account preferences.
- Support messages: the message, attachments, and diagnostic details you choose to send.
- Session notes: labels or observations you save while using eligible app features.
2. App permissions and local signals
Detectio may request access to the camera, local network, nearby-device capabilities, and supported phone sensors. These permissions are used only for the feature you activate and remain subject to the controls provided by your operating system.
Depending on your choices and app settings, device names, network identifiers, sensor readings, images used during guided checks, connection measurements, and session results may be processed to provide the requested feature. Some information may remain only on your device; other information may be associated with your account when sync is enabled.
3. Website and technical information
We may process IP address, approximate country, browser or device type, app version, language, timestamps, referral information, security events, crash information, and feature interactions. We use this information to operate the Service, localize eligible prices, prevent misuse, diagnose failures, and improve reliability.
4. Billing information
Website subscription payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not receive or store complete payment-card numbers. We receive identifiers, status, price, currency, billing interval, and transaction information needed to provide access, manage renewals, handle cancellations, prevent duplicate trials, and respond to billing questions.
5. How we use information
- provide app features, account access, history, and optional sync;
- provision, maintain, suspend, or restore Free and MAX access;
- display localized subscription terms and maintain transaction records;
- send service, credential, billing, and support communications;
- detect duplicate or abusive trial attempts and protect the Service;
- measure reliability and improve product experience;
- comply with applicable legal and accounting obligations.
6. Service providers
We may use providers for hosting, account infrastructure, payments, email, customer support, operational reporting, error diagnostics, and analytics. They may process information only for the services they provide to us and under their own legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
7. Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, including account operation, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute handling, and legal compliance. Retention periods differ by category. We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
You can manage device permissions in operating-system settings, remove eligible session history in the app, cancel a subscription, and request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability where applicable. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when required by law or needed to resolve disputes.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children who cannot legally consent to data processing in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate authorization, contact us.
10. International processing and changes
Information may be processed in countries other than your own, with safeguards required by applicable law. We may update this policy when the Service or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version.
